Both play important roles in your recovery—but at different stages.
Physiotherapists typically manage the early stages of injury, providing hands-on treatments such as joint mobilisation, massage, and manual therapy to reduce pain and inflammation.
Exercise Physiologists step in to support your long-term recovery and performance goals. We focus on developing personalised exercise programs to improve strength, mobility, and function—helping you rehabilitate from injury, prevent future issues, and enhance overall well-being.
-
Yes – we believe in a team approach to your care.
At Fundamentals Rehab & Performance, we take a holistic approach by working closely with your existing healthcare team—whether that’s your GP, specialist, or other allied health professionals. Collaboration ensures continuity of care and helps you achieve the best possible outcomes.
-
Not at all.
You don’t need to be injured to benefit from working with an Exercise Physiologist. We support people of all ages and fitness levels—whether you're looking to improve strength, prevent injury, manage a health condition, or simply move with more confidence in everyday life.
-
Exercise Physiology is a healthcare service—not just a one-off class.
To ensure the best outcomes, our approach involves more than just writing a program. We assess your current function, track your progress, and provide ongoing guidance to help you safely and effectively reach your goals. Regular check-ins allow us to adjust your program as needed and ensure long-term success.
Your health deserves more than a one-size-fits-all solution.
